Starting a Garden

Starting a Garden

Our class has started a garden to grow food for cooking! The kids took a class vote to decide what to plant, and they chose peppers (red, orange, yellow, and green), basil, and cucumbers. They’ve been tracking the plants’ growth from the day they were planted, measuring progress using photos, observational drawings, yarn, counting cubes, and rulers. The children have been working together to water the plants, make detailed drawings, and record the growth on the classroom board. This project has sparked curiosity and teamwork as they care for the garden and watch their plants thrive.
