Snowmen & Igloos

Snowmen & Igloos

Since we have had an abundance of snow, the children in room 5 have been exploring and experimenting with it! We filled our sensory bin and tested our theories by adding different things to it each day. To make igloos, we used snowy shaving cream with blocks as well as cardboard boxes. Today we used clay and other loose parts to make snowmen after reading Snow Family by Daniel Kirk.  Some of our favorite snowy books have been The Mitten by Jan Brett, Snow by Uri Shulevitz, and One Snowy Rescue by M. Christina Butler.
