Today, the children were invited to a provocation that encouraged the children to create sculptures or jewelry. They were presented with various thicknesses of wire along with a few other select materials/tools. Such activities promote fine-motor & many areas of cognitive development… challenging children to think outside of the box for alternative ways to use specific materials. We were all very excited that the weather allowed us some quality time outside.
St. Mary’s believes that all children have the right to the highest quality early childhood education. The benefits of the child’s involvement in a high quality program are proven. It is our intention that all children and families who walk through our doors experience the best educational experience possible.
