The interests in quilts all started with a story read by Ms. Becky. The children were curious about how to make quilts and quickly took notice of the different designs and patterns seen on quilts. In the atelier, they explored patterns with different stamps with paint to create their own unique designs. The children have been able to look at real quilts to use as observations in their drawings and artwork. Recently, they worked on threading a plastic needle to learn how to sew using thread and patchwork squares. We can’t wait to see where our discoveries take us next!
