Today our class explored making ice cream. We explored taking turns, measuring, making predictions (science) and following a recipe. 2 cups milk, 1/2 cup sugar, pinch of salt, and tsp of vanilla. The kiddos smashed up bananas to add to recipe. They mixed all the ingredients together. The put salt into bags of ice to keep it cooler and wrap it around a towel. Once the bags of soon to be ice cream were made, they placed the baggy on top of one bag of ice them laid the ice cream mix on top then placed another bag of ice on top to make it like a sandwich. Once they made it into a sandwich, they wrap the towel around it and let it set to harden. After wait 1hr wait they were able to eat their banana ice cream.
