Little Scientists at Work: Exploring Magnets

Little Scientists at Work: Exploring Magnets

By Published On: August 18, 2025Categories: Classroom Blog, Thompson Room 30 Comments

This week, the children in Room 3 have been diving into the world of magnets. They tried out different kinds of magnets and magnetic materials to see how they work and how they connect.

As they experimented, the children noticed how some ends of the magnets snapped together while others pushed apart. They had fun testing all kinds of objects to find out which ones were magnetic, and which were not.

The children loved sharing their discoveries, often inviting friends to watch or compare what they noticed. Their experiments sparked lively conversations, bursts of excitement, and many chances to practice thinking like true scientists.
