We’ve been conducting an investigation into the squirrels that live in our neighborhood. As part of our study, we’ve been exploring nonfiction books to learn more about real-world animals. One of the interesting discoveries we made is that squirrels are capable of jumping up to 10 feet! To better understand this, we used a ruler to measure out distances from 1 to 10 feet and then attempted to see how our own jumps compared to a squirrel’s impressive leap. It was a fun way to connect what we’ve read with hands-on experience!
