Last week, while playing outside, the children came across a special visitor on the playground—a caterpillar! After doing a little research together, they discovered it was a yellow striped armyworm.
That one tiny find sparked so much excitement that the children grabbed their magnifying eyes and set out on a full bug hunt. They checked the grass, looked under leaves, and peeked around rocks to see what other little critters might be hiding nearby.
What started as a simple discovery quickly grew into a hands-on adventure, giving the children the chance to explore nature, ask questions, and share their discoveries with one another. Moments like these remind us how curiosity naturally leads to learning.
