Margot: When I was a little baby, I went camping.

Mara: I went to two beaches there (cabin). I’m going to go camping with my mom.

Darrell: We need a bunch of snacks, some soda, our Ipads. And we go fishing & need some toys.

Mara: Raccoon! (What creature took food from campsite in familiar book?)

Steph: (writes string of recognizable letters & presents them to me as ‘my name *Mr. Bryan*… I then write my name for her to practice accurately. She obliged accurately)

Darrell: We need fire. They’re making the marshmallows!

Marge: Fireflies!

Darrell: We’ll find a bear!

Mara: I’m drawing the tent. I’m bringing a pillow & a stuffie. This is my family. They’re staying there so nobody takes our tent. We need to sleep in there.

Steph: With a blanket.

Sa’Harii: Tent… the door. I made a bed. This is a beanstalk. The giant. These fishes (adding to a pond Stephanie had drawn).

Margot: Bears & wolves are my favorite animals.

Mara: Kitties aren’t in the forest.

Margot: Some weird dogs.

Georgia: I want a duck. I want to draw a monkey!

Simone: I built a tent outside & I got a chair out with sleeping bags. This is a fox one (sleeping bag). You go underwater & catch a shark. They come & eat our fish… This is a trail to our campsite. Now I need some woods. I made a ladybug! Watch out for the squiggly worm. This is a submarine hunting for fish!

Sa’Harii: (counts to scoops of sand 1 to 1 – accurate)
