Recently, we welcomed families into the classroom for a special book-making experience alongside their child. This hands-on activity gave parents a firsthand look at the literacy practices we use every day at St. Mary’s.
Book-making is a regular part of our classroom routine and an important tool for early learning. Through creating their own books, children strengthen literacy skills, build confidence, and explore self-expression. Most importantly, they begin to see themselves as authors—sharing their ideas, stories, and voices in meaningful ways.
