Back from Break

Today, we jumped right back into our routine with excitement! To kick off the day, we set up a variety of provocations to inspire curiosity and exploration, one of which focused on the concept of measuring. The children were eager to dive in, exploring the room with different measuring tools like rulers, tape measures, and even non-traditional items like blocks and string. As they interacted with the materials, it was amazing to see their enthusiasm and growing understanding of measurement.

As the children explored, they naturally gravitated toward measuring the structures they had built with blocks. Measuring the height, width, and length of their creations brought a sense of pride and excitement, and they worked together, comparing sizes and discussing their findings. It was fascinating to see them apply measurement in such a hands-on way, reinforcing their learning through play. We’re excited to continue nurturing their curiosity and watching them discover new ways to engage with the world around them!
