Letter Recognition

Letter Recognition

Room 1 has been working on letter recognition. The students explored letters by tracing large tape letters using a variety of loose parts, such as popsicle sticks, rocks, shells, and small wooden blocks. After carefully outlining each tape letter, they matched the letter they traced to the corresponding letter on the alphabet chart, helping them make connections between shape and symbol. Some students even took the activity a step further by independently creating their own letters using the loose parts, demonstrating creativity and growing confidence in their letter recognition.
